Skincare can get overwhelming fast, and I’ve definitely tried products that promised everything and did… almost nothing. That’s exactly why this serum ended up being such a surprise for me. I went into it feeling pretty skeptical; it’s affordable, super simple, and doesn’t look flashy, but it ended up helping my skin way more than I expected.
What makes this serum stand out is that it focuses on just two main ingredients that actually do a lot of heavy lifting. The first is niacinamide at 10%, a form of vitamin B3 that’s known for being incredibly versatile. It helps balance oil production, which is great if your skin gets shiny or clogged. It also supports the skin barrier, which is basically your skin’s protective shield that keeps moisture in and irritation out. Over time, niacinamide can help smooth texture, brighten uneven areas, and improve the overall look of your skin.
The second key ingredient is zinc, included at 1% as zinc PCA. Zinc is known for being calming and oil-regulating. It helps reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin, which is especially helpful if you deal with redness or breakouts. It also works alongside niacinamide to keep oil levels more balanced, so your skin feels less greasy but not stripped.

When I first started using it, I honestly wasn’t expecting dramatic changes. I had tried other products before that didn’t do much, so I kept my expectations low. But after a while, I noticed my skin was actually healing. Some of my acne scars slowly began to fade, and my overall skin tone started to look more even. The red, inflamed areas on my face looked calmer, and when I did get breakouts, they didn’t seem as angry or noticeable. Instead of constantly feeling irritated, my skin finally felt like it was settling down.
One of the most surprising things I experienced was that my skin felt less dry. Even though this serum is usually talked about for oil control, I realized it was also helping my skin barrier. My skin was able to hold onto moisture better, which gave it that comfortable, balanced feeling; not greasy, not tight, just healthier. For me, that meant my skin felt smoother and more resilient, instead of flaky or sensitive like it sometimes used to be.
I also really liked how easily it fit into my routine. It’s lightweight, sinks in quickly, and layers well under moisturizer and sunscreen. I only need a few drops after cleansing, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or sticky. It’s such a simple step, but over time, those small daily uses really added up and made a noticeable difference in how my skin looked and felt.

Overall, I was honestly surprised by how well this serum worked for me. I didn’t expect much at first, but it really helped calm my skin, reduce redness, and fade some of my acne scars. My skin also felt less dry and more balanced, which made a big difference in how it looked and felt every day. Using this product made me realize that simple, affordable skincare can still be really effective if the ingredients actually support your skin.
