This is a product that I have started incorporating into my everyday routine. It first started out as an online interest when it blew up, but one day I came across this product at a store and decided to give it a try.

The SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil is a Korean cleansing oil that has gotten a lot of attention for being both gentle and effective. It’s meant to be the first step in a double-cleansing routine, helping remove sunscreen, makeup, dirt, and oil without irritating the skin. Its key ingredient is Centella Asiatica extract from Madagascar, which is well known for calming and soothing the skin. Centella (sometimes called “cica”) is especially popular for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin since it helps reduce irritation and supports skin healing.

Besides Centella, the formula includes lightweight oils like sunflower seed oil and jojoba seed oil. Sunflower seed oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, and it’s non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog pores. Jojoba oil is very similar to the skin’s natural sebum, which makes it great for balancing oil levels while still giving hydration. The texture of this cleansing oil is thin and silky, and it emulsifies quickly with water, rinsing off without leaving behind a heavy or greasy feeling. That’s a big plus compared to some thicker cleansing oils that can sometimes feel suffocating. It’s also free of artificial fragrance and mineral oil, which makes it a good choice for people with sensitive skin.

In my experience, this product does a really good job of cleaning my skin. I can actually feel it getting into my pores and pulling everything out, which leaves my skin feeling super smooth and refreshed. It melts makeup easily, even stubborn mascara and sunscreen, and makes my face feel like it’s actually clean rather than just rinsed off. I’ve also noticed that when I use it, other skincare products like serums and moisturizers seem to sink into my skin better, probably because there’s no leftover buildup blocking absorption.

The only downside I’ve noticed is that sometimes my skin feels a little dry right after I wash and towel off. It’s not uncomfortable, but there is a bit of tightness until I put on moisturizer, which usually fixes it right away. I think people with dry or dehydrated skin might want to keep that in mind, but for me it hasn’t been a dealbreaker.

When I first started using the cleansing oil, I saw a really noticeable difference: my skin looked clearer, smoother, and more even. Over time, though, I’ve had a few breakouts pop up on my forehead. I’m not sure if the oil is to blame since there are other possible factors (like stress, diet, or other products I’m using), so I don’t want to pin it completely on this. Still, it’s something I’ve been keeping an eye on.

Overall, I think the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil is a solid product that delivers on what it promises. It removes makeup and sunscreen thoroughly, smooths out the skin, and makes it easier for the rest of my routine to work. Even with the small drawbacks, I’d recommend it as a great option for anyone looking to add a cleansing oil into their skincare routine.
